John W. Michalek, 75, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
He was born on November 8, 1949, in Romulus, MI, the son of Gladys (Czaja) Michalek and the late John A. Michalek. He attended the Robichaud High School in Dearborn Heights, MI graduating with the class of 1967.
John married Donna Laramie on February 13, 1971, at St. Norbert Catholic Church in Inkster, MI. The couple celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary this year.
He was employed as an automotive laborer for many years. John was a member of the UAW-GM. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and working on his food plots.
John is survived by his wife, Donna; mother, Gladys; brothers, Michael Michalek and Joseph Michalek, both of Taylor, MI; sister, Sandra (Ronald) Neu of Taylor, MI; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Private family services will be held.
