Larry Michalek, age 79, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Larry was born April 4, 1946 in Two Rivers to the late Theophil (Ted) and Erma f(Veeser) Michalek. Larry graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1964 then joined the Air Force in 1965. Larry married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Dart, on June 10, 1967 before serving in the Vietnam War. Returning to Kewaunee and Green Bay, he spent most of his career at the Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant and enjoying travelling.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; children, Lorri (Joe) Havlovitz and Eric (Laura) Michalek; grandchildren, Shayne (Ashley) Havlovitz and Kevin (Alexi) Havlovitz; great grandchildren Elsie and Theo; siblings Lorraine (Denny) Ludlow and Ardie (Kathy) Michalek; sister-in-law, Sharon Kvitek; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Road R, Denmark, WI 54208 on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 12 Noon until 1:45 pm with a funeral service to be at 2:00 pm all at the funeral home with full military honors to follow.
The family extends their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of VA Home Team, Scandinavian, Eden Vista and Unity Hospice for their care and compassion given to Larry and his family.
