Obituary
Together Again: John Joseph Miller, 88, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly in December of 2022, his parents Edward P. and Mary (O'Malley) Miller; brothers Joe, Bill, and Jim Miller; sisters Rosemary Karam, Bernadette Gibson and Nancy Bucksar. John is survived by his sons John (Penny) Miller, Tom Miller, Don Miller, daughter Pat (Larry) Porter; dearest family friend; Paul Wheeler; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
John was born in Akron on March 19, 1935 and married the love of his life Beverly November 17, 1956 and they enjoyed 66 years together. John enjoyed his family and his woods. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. You could always find him walking around his home or down working in his woods in Kenmore. He enjoyed chatting with everyone in the neighborhood and was a friend to everyone.
John was a very charitable person, though he always liked to do it anonymously.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2101 17th St. SW, Akron, Ohio 44314 where the family will receive friends an hour prior. Procession following for interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. If you so desire in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Interval Brotherhood Home.
