John G. Minges, of Hatboro, passed away peacefully at PowerBack Rehabilitation on Saturday, December 31, 2016. He was 84. John was the husband of the late Patricia M. Minges (nee Moock). Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George W. and Bertha A. (nee Groves) Minges. John was a January of 1950 graduate of Roxborough High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Italy and worked as a photographer for the Associated Press. John is survived by his son, Gregg Minges of Sicklerville, NJ, and his siblings, George Minges (Dossie) and Barbara Markley (the late Robert). He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. John was predeceased by his sister, Jean Garriock (the late Harry). Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's viewing on Saturday, January 7, 2017 after 9:30 AM until the time of his funeral service at 10:30 AM at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Rd., Hatboro. His interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Ste. 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
