John was a dear, artistic, sarcastically funny friend during an important time in my life. We lost touch, but I wish his family so much love.

I met John at Graduate School in St Louis. I always found him to be helpful, and very entertaining. He shared a bit of his personal life and past, including a nickname he had when he struggled with his weight. We lost touch over the years, but just recently reconnected with him in Social Media. When I saw he was venturing into Jazz singing I thought that perhaps her finally found his passion, something to give him confidence and strength. I really looked forward to suprising him at a performance once day. I suppose now that day will be longer in the future than planned. I'm sure he's still singing now...

I remember John as a classmate in high school. We sat near each other and did our best to get through a very challenging calculous class. I remember John as a happy, positive person...always finding the upside of anything.
