He was a longtime member of the Bethel United Methodist Church family, serving as President of the Board for 10 years. Rosie and John were very active in the Marriage Encounter Movement. While Mr. Mitchell was my toughest teacher in high school, (chemistry) he made my college years with chemistry fun and meaningful! Heck I took more chemistry as electives! Had he not set the foundation for me so solid I would have struggled and missed out on so much. He will be remembered by how much he loved his students, holding us to high standards, and his passion for teaching. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. Beth (Davidson) Malchetske
