CMSgt John Alphonso Molock, born on February 20, 1933, in Seaford, Delaware, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was a remarkable individual who exemplified courage and heroism throughout his life. John dedicated 33 years of service as a Fire Protection Specialist, culminating his career as Fire Chief for the United States Air Force. His commitment to safety and service extended not only to the military but also to his community, where he was known as a pillar of strength and support.

John was a devoted family man, deeply proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was the loudest cheerleader at his grandkids’ sporting events, always present and encouraging, showcasing his unwavering support and love for his family. His sons, Bruce (Reba) and Johnny, carry forward his legacy, as do his grandchildren: Talisha, Bruce Jr. (Abeer), Johnathan (Amanda), Joshua, Gabriel, Makayla, as well as his great-grandchildren: Dialo Jr., Alina, Tayna, Johnathon, Johnathan Jr., Jamerson, and Judith. He also celebrated the arrival of his great-great-grandchildren, Maia and Jeremiah, with immense joy. He also leaves behind his many siblings: Russell, Franklin, Herbert, Robert, Dolores, DOris, Ann (Horsey), Lamont, Floyd, Lloyd, Penny, Sophie. 

In addition to his role as a family leader, John was also a man of varied interests and talents. He had a passion for baseball, celebrated as a ping-pong champion, and enjoyed being a horseshoe champion, demonstrating his competitive spirit and zest for life.

John's esteemed position in the Masonic Temple as a 33rd-Degree Mason with 58 years of dedication stands as one of his proudest accomplishments. His commitment to the fraternity exemplified his values of integrity, brotherhood, and community service.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby Lee, with whom he shared 72 loving years of marriage, and his parents, Viola Molock and Franklin Griffin, and his brothers Roscoe, and Stephen. John Alphonso Molock leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and commitment that will be cherished by all who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to be called his family and friends.
