John Moravek Obituary

John was a graduate of Cathedral Prep and Penn State University. He worked as an assembler at G.E. Transportation and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two of his children, Jennifer, and Neil Moravek.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen A. (Kolinoski) Moravek; two sons, Scott Moravek, wife Michelle, of Mars, Pa., and Steven Moravek, wife Michelle, of Moyock, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Janet Moravek, of Carrollton, Va.; nine grandchildren, Tami (Dani), Nicholas, Ava, Maccoy, Andrew, Makenna, Joseph, Cash, and Case; two brothers, Thomas Moravek, wife Peggy, of Mars, Pa., and David Moravek, wife Barbara, of Jay, Fla.
John was a kind, generous and selfless person that will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Friends are invited to visit at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 E. 38th Street, on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m., and may attend prayers there on Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10 a.m., and committal services at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

I will always remember how kind John was. He and Karen shared in all our family gatherings happy or sad! He never hesitated to bring over all his tools to help me fix whatever was broken, or get the snowblower running well, after Jim passed. The many times we gathered over a glass of wine to solve the world´s problems, were some of my best memories! He and Karen were the best neighbors/family that anyone could ever have! We will miss you, John, rest in peace!
