Husband and Father, John Edward Moreno, of El Rio, entered fully into the presence of the Lord surrounded by his wife and children on Thursday July 18, 2024. He was 73.
John was born, raised and resided in El Rio to the late Louis and Nellie Moreno.
John and Debi were married on June 23, 1973. His greatest joy was loving her and providing for his family. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed going to work every day. He was a fair, kind and honest man and was always willing to give a helping hand. He never complained and whatever he did, he did it with joy. Some of Johns favorite past times were hanging out in the garage, working on his puzzles, playing Yahtzee and playing poker with family and friends. In the latter part of his life, he took great joy in watching his grandchildren grow up. John will always be remembered for his great smile, warm heart, wisdom and quick wit. He loved his community of El Rio and his legacy will live on by the countless lives he touched. John was not a perfect man and we are far from a perfect family, but because of our faith in Jesus, we have a lot of love to share and we are STRONG.
John is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Debra Moreno who was the love of his life. Together they built a beautiful family and shared countless memories. John is survived by two brothers, Louis and Richard and three sisters, Patricia, Anna and Kathleen. He is also survived and will be dearly missed by his children Amy Campbell (Bobby), Jill Moreno-Hill (Damon), John J Moreno, Luke A Moreno (Crystal). His legacy will continue through his grandchildren Tyler Hard (Carly), Trevor Hard (Allison), Cru Campbell, Elijah Hill, Isaiah Hill, Destiny Moreno, Tanaya Moreno, John Kaleb Moreno, Nona Moreno, Syla Moreno and Grayson Moreno. John was further blessed by great grandchildren Tristin Hard and Ezekiel Moreno. He is preceded in death by his grandchild Sophia Moreno.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at CMH and Kaiser for taking such great and gentle care of their father.
Services will be held on Saturday July 27 at 10:00 a.m.
