John Joseph Moser III, 59, of Scottsdale, AZ was called to a better place on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. John was born November 8, 1965, in Bridgeport, CT. He began his career in carpentry at the ripe old age of 6 years old while riding in his beloved Godfather Tom Dugas' backhoe.
He was a proud graduate of Bullard Havens Technical High School class of 1984, where he honed his craft of carpentry.
At 17, John enlisted in the Connecticut Army National Guard where he met his lifelong Army friend Brett Fulcher. John served over twenty years honorably as a Combat Engineer retiring at the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Moser was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and other professional development and qualification medals, ribbons, and awards.
John spent years as a carpenter with a 1974 red Ford pickup and a dog named Rocky. He shared many great moments with childhood friend Bryan Robik including raising a couple of cows, just for fun.
In 2003 John exceeded his own expectations and founded Q Industries, Inc., with his best friend Stephen Gaffigan. While building the air compressor company for over 20 years, they found time to travel the world, going places where most people would never think to go, and always returning with a new story to share from their adventures. In 2018 John was inducted into the Maasai Tribe in Kenya.
John and his sister Dana Wilkinson had a special relationship. They worked together for years. They fought hard but loved even harder.
John met Kathy Burns in a year that we can't quite remember because it was that long ago. They balanced each other and spent years loving and laughing together. Kathy truly "got" John. He loved her deeply, and always said she was the best thing that ever happened to him.
JMO loved a good time. He often said he had more fun in his little pinkie (which was not little at all) than most people had their whole lives. Enjoying friends and family was the most important thing to him. He learned at an early age to make an incredible antipasto from his Uncle Joe and was so proud that he could replicate it. If you were lucky enough to have had it, then you know. John traveled miles to always show up for important moments, and sometimes just to show up. He had a zest for life and thought everything was worth celebrating.
A true American at heart, John loved his country, his guns, his mother, and most of all, Kathy he also loved that Trump won the 2024 election.
Those who will celebrate and cherish John's memory are the love of his life Kathy Burns; his mother, Eleanor Piazza Moser; his sister, Dana Moser Wilkinson (Dean); his niece, Samantha Wilkinson (a.k.a. Buttercup); his nephew, Joseph Wilkinson; and his chickens.
A Military Funeral with Honors will be held Monday, November 25, 2024, at 9:30 am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.Please arrive at 9:00 am as the service will begin promptly. Unfortunately, I haven´t spoken with John since we graduated in 83 but this still comes as a shock. He will always be remembered as a gentle giant! Always smiling. Always willing to help anyone! Rest in Peace but just for a little while. You have an eternal life to live now.

John was a light in a dark world. Years back, my birthday plans were destroyed in a situation that was out of my control.... Until John called out of nowhere and said he had set up a birthday party at his place for me. It was a tragedy he turned into grace. Peace John and thanks for your service, friendship, and caring..
