Devoted husband to the late Christine (Zalewski); Proud loving father to his two daughters that meant the world to him, Kristin, of Richmond, VA, and Jacki (Nick High), of Wexford. Beloved brother to Sue O'Toole, uncle to Patrick and Karen (Lehigh), and loving great-uncle to his great-nieces and nephews.
Born July 5, 1951 to John and Ruth Mravinec, raised in Lawrenceville "before it was trendy", a graduate of Peabody High School. Many family vacation summers were spent "at the lake" (Canadohta), always the week of his birthday complete with sparklers in his cake. Jack was always ready to talk about Pittsburgh or how to get around the belt system. He knew multiple routes to get around town at any given time, which helped him as he navigated the city as a transportation driver for NAMS and Greentree Doubletree. Jack enjoyed meeting the people he picked up along the way, always ready to talk to anyone that he came in contact with. He enjoyed a brief stint as a bartender, lending an ear and a drink to those at the bar, after leaving Veolia Water (formerly Chester Engineers) in their IT department. Those that were fortunate to know him would instantly smile when he entered a room, his energy and laugh intoxicating to all around. Blissfully reunited with his love, Chris, and his faithful yellow lab Jake.
Visitation Friday, August 15th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA 15116. Saturday Blessing service 11:00am, also at Neely Funeral Home.
