John Eric Munson, 67 years old, of Springville and Farmington, Utah passed away suddenly on September 11, 2022.
He enjoyed woodworking as both a profession and a hobby. He used these skills to build cabinets at Robert’s Manufacturing for nearly 15 years. He took great pride in the hand-crafted blocks he made as gifts for his nieces and nephews, as well as the unique toolbox he created from scrap wood for the Utah State Fair. His other interests included beekeeping, fishing, camping, caring for animals, photography and scouting. Eric served in scouting leadership for many years and as Assistant Scout Master completed his Woodbadge Certification. His gentle soul was evident in the way he cared for animals and his bees as well as the pictures he captured of nature through his photography.
He embraced his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed his callings.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents John and Annette Munson and his brother and best friend Stephen Paul Munson. Survived by siblings, Carol Lynn Munson-Fatai, Corey (Lou) Kunde, Jolene (Jan) Bruckman, Robert (Laurie) Munson, Alan Munson and sister-in-law Susan Munson. He also enjoyed the company of his many nieces and nephews.
His tender soul and kindness will be missed.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Russon Mortuary located at 1941 N. Main St. in Kaysville, Utah. A viewing will be held at 10:00 am with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at the Provo City Cemetery following the service.
