John M. Murphy, born on November 7, 1936, in Bronx, New York, to his parents John and Julia. John passed away peacefully on May 12, 2023. He was a beloved husband to his late wife and a devoted father to his children. He loved and cherished his family so much.

John was survived by his children Marybeth Perdikos, Sueann (Scott) Harris, John M. (Donna) Murphy, Julianne (Michael) Quinn, Edward (Rebecca) Murphy, Kathleen Murphy, and the Late Maureen Murphy, and also nine grandchildren who will always keep him in their hearts.

John pursued a career as a computer programmer in New York City for many years. He was appreciated for his exceptional work ethic and dedication to his job by colleagues.

In addition to being an accomplished professional, he served his country as a veteran and got some college education. Throughout his life, he maintained a great sense of humor that endeared him to everyone he met.

Friends and family are invited to attend John's visitation at Deer Park-Mangano Family Funeral Home on Monday, May 15th. The visitation period is from 2 pm -4:30 pm and from 7 pm -9:30 pm.
On Tuesday morning there will be closing prayers held at the Deer Park-Mangano Family Funeral Home from 9:15 am-10:00 am before proceeding to Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass at 10:15 am.

John’s memory will be cherished by all those who knew him for the love he shared with them throughout his life journey.
