It is with deep sorrow and so much love that we announce the passing of John Michael Nash at the age of 51.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Nash; his children Jordan (Kedrick) Harvey, and Anna Grace Nash; his granddaughter Kylee Harvey. He is also survived by his parents John and Barbara Nash, his siblings Leigh (Rusty) Townsend and Kenny (Gayle) Nash, his sister-in-laws Heather (John) Talipsky, Judi Wallace, Jami Krupilis, and Jenni (Jon) Schaffer, and multiple nieces and nephews who adored him.
A lifelong mentor and coach, Michael dedicated his life to growing young men through his love and passion for football (and anything else asked of him). "Coach" was one of his proudest titles, and his impact will live on in the countless lives he shaped both on and off the field. He had a prestigious coaching career that included his alma mater - Shiloh High School, a decade developing the Dunwoody High School Football program, and most recently began at Chattahoochee County High School.
Michael Nash was a man who could fill any role asked of him and do it with heart, humility, and strength. He was the kind of man you could count on to keep his promises, to never give up, and to give you the shirt off his back if that's what you needed.
Michael loved his wife, daughters, and granddaughter with a fierce and loyal love. He also shared an unbreakable bond with his parents and siblings, cherishing every moment spent together. Family was the heartbeat of his life.
He had a gift for making every stranger feel like a friend, and his laughter could light up any room. He loved to sing, dance, and entertain - always finding joy in bringing a smile to others. Whether he was telling a story, cracking a joke or breaking into song, Michael had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
When he wasn't cooking you a hot meal on the Big Green Egg, he was lifting your spirits with words of encouragement or wrapping you in one of his famously gentle bear hugs.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, humor, and unwavering heart will never be forgotten.
Michael's celebration of life will be held at Dunwoody Baptist Church on October 12, 2025. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm and a short service will be held from 3-4 pm. The family asks that you come dressed in colors showing how you know Mike. Whether that be your Wildcat Pride, your Chat Co. Panthers Gear or your War Eagle game day spirit.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mike Nash F.A.M.I.L.Y Fund.

Yesterday

I was blessed to have coached Michael at Shiloh High in both football and baseball...truly loved that young man as a competitor but much more so as a funny, gentle, respectful, kind, and loving young man! It has brought great joy to my heart to see what an outstanding husband, coach, father, mentor and friend he had become...would loved to have had the opportunity to have shared in some Big Green Egg cuisine with him and discussed faith, family, and football! His light will continue to shine through the many young men and women he has both taught and coached and especially through his wife, Tracy, their daughters, his granddaughter, and all his family! May the Lord truly give peace and comfort to the Nash family as they grieve their loss but remember, with joy, John Michael Nash!
