Zachary McDowell Obituary
Zach was an avid reader. He loved his family, friends, and his best cat, Charlie. His big personality and boisterous laugh would draw attention in a crowded room. He loved all kinds of games, the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta United, and challenging anyone to gaming competitions.
Zach was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Daniel McDowell, III of Loganville, GA; and Mark and Sally Sutton of Tucker, GA. He is survived by his parents, Holly and Daniel McDowell, IV of Loganville,GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jacob and Casey McDowell of Athens, GA; grandmother, Vicki McDowell of Loganville, GA; uncles, aunts, cousins, Charlie Cat, and wonderful friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Rd, Loganville, Ga 30052. Visitation from 1:00-2:30 prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Zach's memory to Lifeline Animal Project at Dekalb County Animal Services, https://lifelineanimal.org/donate-today/ or to the American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org/.
