Mr. James Buster Collins was born to Mrs. Angelina Craft and Mr. James O. Collins in the city of Texline, Texas, in Cottle County, on February 8, 1932 and passed away in the city of Lawrenceville, GA, in Gwinnett County, on February 26, 2026 of complications related to an aneurysm surgery among other chronic illnesses.

Mr. Collins has gone to meet whom in life was Mrs. Katharina Wilhelmine Ramet and now is survive by their two sons, William J. Collins and Charles E. Collins and children of his first marriage whom are Donna Young, Debbie Sparks and James Richard. His grandchildren, William J, Brian M and Kiera and survived by his great grand-children, Kaydence, Iseah, Aubrey, Marley, Wesley and Michael and his great grand baby girl, Kaiya.

Mr. Collins was a retired war Veteran of Atlanta having served two branches of the military (Marines and Army) and retired as a Master Sergeant and three tours in Vietnam before being station in Berlin, Germany for several years. He was a recipient of a Bronzed star among other accolades. He worked as a Senior Contracting Officer at the Veterans Administration Building in Decatur, GA for 17 years and subsequently retiring in 1984. Mr. Collins was a past Master of the Berling Lodge and it is with pride to mention that his grandson Bill Jr., witnessed his grandfather acquired one of his degrees towards his Masonic of the Sweetwater Lodge located at Luxomni Road NW, Lilburn, GA 30047.

At the personal level he lived a very oriented family traditions of his era and enjoyed playing chest games, dominoes, solitary and cards as well as computer games.

A gathering and services will start at 9:00 A.M. and the Funeral Services at 10:00 A.M on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at the Chapel of the Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory located at 6101 Lawrenceville Highway in the city of Tucker, GA 30084.

The Burial will take place at the National Cemetery located at 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive in Canton, GA at 1:00 P.M. Local time.
