Lora Jo Little

Lora Jo Little, 58, of Waleska, Georgia, passed away on January 26, 2026, two weeks after her 58th birthday.

Born in Atlanta and raised in Waleska, Lora spent her life rooted in Georgia. She later raised her three sons in Canton before moving to Cartersville and then later returning to Waleska for the final years of her life. A devoted homemaker and mother, Lora dedicated herself completely to her sons Levi, Noah, and Josh. When health challenges required it, she went to homeschooling her sons and proceeded to faithfully guide them through every stage of life.

Thoughtful, observant, and deeply caring, Lora had a natural attentiveness to people and details. She loved genealogy and spent years carefully researching and documenting generations of family history. Through that work she discovered a long-lost half-sister, Kyleen, whose place in the family was established and restored because of Lora's determination to uncover the truth.

Her sharp eye for detail also drew her to detective and true-crime programs, where she appreciated the careful unraveling of complicated stories and the pursuit of justice. She also enjoyed drawing, caring for her beloved cats, and learning about the diverse traditions surrounding cuisine held by cultures around the world.

A devout Baptist, Lora read her Bible daily and lived a quiet but faithful life according to her beliefs. Above all else, her life was centered on her sons, whom she loved deeply and supported with constant care and devotion.

She is survived by her sons Levi, Noah, and Josh; her brothers Brian and Dwhight; and her newly discovered sister Kyleen.
