William Pritchett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. Lilburn-Tucker Chapel on Mar. 14, 2026.
William D. "Bill" Pritchett, Jr., age 62, of Lilburn, GA, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026.

Bill was born in Decatur, GA to William D. Pritchett, Sr. and Faye Cates Pritchett. Bill grew up in the Decatur area and graduated from Shamrock High School in 1981. In 1986 he married his wife of 39 years, Leslie Aldredge. He started his own HVAC business in 1992 and has been self-employed ever since.

Bill enjoyed being outdoors, hunting many different animals with many good friends all over the country. He loved all his dogs and most of his cats. He enjoyed serving in the churches he attended, serving as an usher and more recently on the Security Team at North Metro. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge for over 40 years. Second to hunting, his next favorite outdoor activity was enjoying the beach. He was a good friend to many, keeping up with them regularly and always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Sr and Faye Pritchett. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Leslie, his sister Carla Dowell (Ron), and many cousins and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Bill Head Funeral Home Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Lilburn First Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park.
