John "Jack" Nittinger, age 84, of Sayre, PA passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025.
Jack was born on July 14, 1940, in Waverly, NY, to Charles and Catherine Nittinger. He lived a
life full of passion for sports, the outdoors, and the love of his family.

Jack served two years in the United States Army after high school, where he was proud to serve
his country. After his service, Jack returned to his community and became an active member of
Epiphany Church, where he found support, friendship, and a strong sense of belonging. His faith
was an important part of his life, and he was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Jack
worked at Ingersoll Rand for 38 years, where he built lasting relationships with his coworkers.

Jack was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Margene Bennett, with whom he shared 59
years of marriage. Their relationship was built on mutual respect, unwavering support, and a
deep, abiding love. Together, they created a beautiful life full of laughter, memories, and shared
moments. His love for Margene was a cornerstone of his life.

In addition to being a devoted spouse and father, Jack was passionate about coaching and
supporting his children's sports. He found great joy in being involved in their athletic lives, not
only as a coach but as a proud parent who captured every moment on video. Whether it was a
game-winning shot, a touchdown, or a perfectly executed play, Jack loved preserving those
memories. His dedication to coaching, teaching, and videotaping his kids' sporting events was an
expression of his deep commitment to their growth and happiness.

Jack was also an avid lover of the lake, where he spent countless hours enjoying the water for
fishing and boating. He took great pride in teaching family members and friends how to water-
ski, sharing his passion for the sport and the joy of the lake. Whether it was helping someone get
up on skis for the first time or just enjoying a sunny afternoon on the water, Jack's enthusiasm
was contagious. The lake held a special place in his heart, and many will remember the laughter
and good times spent with him on the water.

Jack was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Susan
Toberman and her husband, Daniel Toberman; son, John Nittinger and his wife, Jill; son, Gary
Nittinger and his wife, Melanie. He is survived by two siblings: Joan Dugan of Williamsburg, Va. and Richard Nittinger of Charlo, Mt. Jack's grandchildren include Nathan, Jeremy, and Jesse
Toberman; Elle and Olivia Nittinger; Andrew and Joshua Nittinger. He is also survived by his
great-grandchildren, Utah and August Toberman.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Catherine and his siblings: Mary Morningstar, Charles Nittinger, Barbara Moore, and James Nittinger.

Catholic Church preceded by calling hours at 2PM -2:45PM in the Epiphany Church hall. A private burial will be
held at a later time.
