John O'Nan Obituary
On Sunday April 14, 2024 at age 93, beloved husband of the late Cynthia Sutherland; father of Stewart S. O'Nan (Trudy) and the late John O'Nan, III, Kate Moon, Donald Matlack (Linda), Amy Hamarman (late Jorge) and the late Liza Matlack; brother of the late Caroline O'Nan; also survived by numerous grandchildren. John was a graduate of the Fulton School, Shady Side Academy, Yale University and Carnegie Tech (Graduate degree). John began his career as an Engineer with J & L Steel and continued with ALCOA, retiring after many decades of service as an Engineering Manager. John was an avid sailor at Lake Chautauqua and spent many hours volunteering with SCORE after his retirement. There will be no visitation, a Memorial Service will be celebrated at Calvary Episcopal Church at a future date. Arrangements by John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. (freyvogelfuneralhome.com)
