Rochester: Monday, August 12, 2024, at age 65. Predeceased by his father and mother, John J., Sr. and Mary Palermo. He is survived by his son, David Palermo; many relatives and friends. John was known for helping his friends with their auto needs. He loved playing live rock and roll with his guitar for his family and friends in the Rochester area.
Friends may call THURSDAY, August 22, from 5-7PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Friday, August 23, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 at St. Theodore's Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

I had messaged John on FB a while back and wondered why I hadn't heard back from him. My uncle was his neighbor on Calhoun Avenue in Gates when Rosy and John were still married. I never lost respect for him because we were always invited over to his former home for dinner or gatherings when I was friends with Dave. Sad how everything changed as time went on. Last time that I saw John was at the old Stoney's Restaurant in Gates. He seemed to be in a good mood and sarcastic as usual. John will be missed and remembered fondly.
