John "Jay" Joseph Cantlay passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. Having been born in NY, he recently resided in FL and VA. He was predeceased by his Mother, Marcia Jean Cantlay and father, John Cantlay, as well as his former wife, Kathy Griffo. He is survived by his sisters Susan and Denise Cantlay, daughters Heather Cantlay and Michelle (Rob) Watson, grandchildren Zoey, Malia and Ryan Watson, as well as Syris Kim. An honorable mention to "The best wife he never had" Susan Burk.
Jay was an extremely talented craftsman and animal lover. His hobbies included Motorcross, Horseracing, Fishing, reading, cooking and was a passionate Liberal! He adored his two girls and their children. He will be greatly missed, and remembered for his quiet demeanor, kindness and fierce love of all animals!
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to Lollypop Farm, Verona Street Animal Society or an animal charity of your choice in John's memory.
