John Parks Obituary
Born in Morristown, John grew up in Parsippany and later made his home in Hopatcong, where he built a life centered around family.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend and he took pride in the people he loved the most.
John is survived by his son, John and his wife Jessica; his daughter Nicole; his brother, Marvin (Skip) and his wife Jodie; his nieces Emily and Abby; and his girlfriend Arlene. He was a proud and loving grandfather to his cherished grandchildren: John, Jordan, Jace, and Marissa, who brought him immense joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Muriel.
He was a dedicated bus driver for Byram Bus Inc. in Stanhope, a role he took great pride in and carried out with reliability and care.
John will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and the steady presence he was to those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply.
The celebration of life service will be held at the Elks Lodge in Parsippany on February 7, 2026, from 1:00pm – 5:00pm with pastor Adan Burt officiating. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to The Sharing Network Foundation https://www.sharingnetworkfoundation.org/home
