John R. M. Pearson

John R. M. Pearson, age 82, formerly of Valley View Mobile Home Park, of Temple, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, in the care of Rittenhouse Village. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Linore, whose memory he cherished dearly.

Born in Fargo, ND, to the late Vernon and Eleanor (Davison) Pearson, John graduated from the Dakota Boys' Ranch in May, 1961. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from December 8, 1961, until his discharge on April 7, 1966, achieving the rank of Aviation Structural Mechanic Second Class (AME2).

A dedicated professional, John served as a Correctional Officer at Berks County Prison from July 15, 1981 until his retirement on September 28, 2010. John enjoyed crossword puzzles and found great joy in music, particularly classic rock and country.

Left to treasure his memory are his daughters: Theresa Godfrey (Jeffrey) of Temple; Tracy Chirieleison (Dean) of Oley; and Tara Pearson of Reading; his grandchildren: Michelle Flory; Kathren Mulholland; Julia Bachman-Godfrey; Dean Chirieleison; Faith Chirieleison; Jason Pearson; Wyatt Huber; April Rupp; Jeffery Godfrey, Jr.; and Alex Godfrey; and great grandchildren: Ian Flory; Tucker Godfrey; Jazmine Godfrey; Ryan Hafer; and one more on the way. John is also survived by his sister, Kathleen J. Daniels, widow of Ben, as well as his two nephews and a niece. In addition to his parents and wife, John was predeceased by his granddaughter, Cheyenne Huber, and his nephew, Daniel Lee Ormiston.
