John R. Perfetta Jr.

John R. Perfetta Jr., 66, of Salem Township, passed away in his home Saturday, July 15, 2023. He was born May 12, 1957, a son of the late John and Mary (Maruca) Perfetta, Sr. John was a dedicated fireman, having been a member of Slickville Volunteer Fire Department for 52 years. He also enjoyed having cookouts and spending time with his family. John is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 37 years, Brenda (Barkefelt) Perfetta; his son, Brandon Perfetta; two sisters, Maryann (Jeffrey) Turk and Cathy (late David) Peak; brother, Steve (Carrie) Perfetta; two sisters-in-law, Karen Perfetta and Jeannie Shope; special aunt, Louise Shawley; aunt, Peggy Perfetta; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Samantha Jean; and a brother, Frank Perfetta. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 18 and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19 , at BASH-NIED-JOBE FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, where the Slickville VFD will have a service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Slickville. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
