Best math teacher ever! I went from General Math to Algebra with him. For whatever reason, I was elected during lunch before algebra, back when teachers ate in the lunchroom with us, and ask for help with our homework. He was never bothered by that and would joke about not taking his homemade chocolate chip cookies. I can't imagine as a teacher eating in the lunch room with the students. It was normal back then. He came and visited me at the school I was working at in Joliet. I am so grateful for the kind and generous person he was then and his memory will live on. Prayers to the family.
