John D. Pinder, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. John retired from Ford Motor Company after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Akron Bicycle Club and the NRA. Preceded in death by his first wife, Martha L. Pinder and second wife, Meveryn E. Pinder; along with three brothers and one sister. John is survived by his sons, Donovan Pinder (Alisha) and David Pinder; stepchildren, Jan (Rick) Jacobson, Kim (Mohammed) Al-Abid, Robin (Don) August and David (Julie) Justice; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. John's family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203. A graveside service to follow at 2 p.m. at Manchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center.
