John D. Pisle

John D. Pisle, 85 of Chambersburg, Pa, passed away Friday March 13, 2026, at Chambersburg Skilled Nursing.

Born June 11, 1940, in Antrim Twp, he was the son of the late Garnet and Thelma (Zeger) Pisle.

John was a 1959 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. He was employed at Franklin Feed & Supply Company for many years as a fuel oil delivery driver, retiring in 2002.

John is survived by his wife of 58 years, Clara M. (Hamman) Pisle of Chambersburg, Pa; daughter Karen Smith & James of Biglerville, Pa.; daughter Connie Grim & David of Louisiana; granddaughter Lisa Rowe & Skylar of Palm Bay, Florida; granddaughter Keisha Hamman-Suggs & Donovan of Chambersburg, Pa ; great grandson Landon Rowe of Palm Bay Florida; a brother Donald L. Pisle of Waynesboro, Pa, and nieces and nephews. Also, a good family friend, George Kurtz of Chambersburg survives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Pisle and a stepdaughter, Faith Hamman.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 18, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Ltd, Chambersburg. Family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will be at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg following the service.
