John Powers Obituary
Mr. John Robert Powers, age 96, of Eagleville, TN, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Franklin, TN. Mr. John was born in Rutherford County, TN on June 8, 1928, to the late Robert Tolliver Powers and Lytle Kelton Powers. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Collins Powers, and his brother, Curtis Powers.
John proudly served our country during the Korean War and World War II. He had a deep love for his wife. John enjoyed golfing, fishing, and reading books on history and always learning. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy.
Mr. John is survived by his stepson Webster Todd Powers of Murfreesboro, TN.
Visitation will be Monday, March 10, 2025, at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 pm until the service time at 2:00pm. Interment will follow after the service.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
