John Francis Pozza

John F. Pozza, 68, of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away suddenly on December 5, 2025. He was born on July 30, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Orange, Connecticut. He was predeceased by his parents, Mario and Sally Pozza.
John attended St. Bonaventure University where he continued to swim competitively after high school. He worked as a Sales Representative for Spinnaker Resorts in Ormond Beach, Florida, where his dedication and ability to connect with others earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Outside of work, John was an avid golfer who found much joy on the course, reflecting his easygoing nature and appreciation for camaraderie and the outdoors. He was also a voracious reader, always having a book nearby.
John had such a big personality, he loved to laugh, make people laugh and smile and was always ready with a big hug. His deep faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He found fulfillment in volunteering and mentoring others with compassion and humility. A devoted fan of the Grateful Dead, John embraced their music as part of his vibrant spirit.
He is lovingly remembered by his sister Randi Rickert (Bob); niece Lexie Gula; brother Marc Pozza and many cousins. Also mourning his loss is Bunker, his beloved cat who brought him great companionship. John was so fortunate to have had many lifelong friends, whom he cherished like family, who will also miss him dearly.
A service to honor John's life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, 11:00 AM at Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church, 317 Mullally Street, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.
