John Edward Prince Jr., 51, of Breckenridge Hills, MO, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Kindred Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born in Florissant, MO, August 7, 1974, to parents John Edward and Imogene (Britt) Prince Sr.
John was a devoted son, brother, and friend whose gentle spirit and unique personality left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
John had a deep love for music, especially heavy metal and was never far from a melody that moved him. He stayed informed on political issues and was always ready for a spirited conversation-especially when it came to his admiration for President Donald Trump. A proud and passionate fan of Dungeons & Dragons, John found joy, connection, and creativity through the game he often played with his friends.
John was a simple man and rode his bike everywhere he wanted to go, content with the freedom and peace it brought him. Those who knew him appreciated his authenticity, loyalty, and the unmistakable warmth he brought into their lives.
He is preceded in death by his father.
John is survived by his loving mother; sister: Elizabeth Prince of Moscow Mills; uncle: James Prince and wife Brenda; aunts: Birdie Tucker and husband Walter, Martha Buxton, Hattie Messmer, and Joyce Johnson; special friend: Heather Brown; and best friend: Eric Pearl. John will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Memorial visitation was held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 10, 2025, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Memorial service followed at 2:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Pastor Callum Reavey ministered to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
