Wayne Stephen Prince

TOWNSEND: Wayne S. Prince, 72, of Townsend, formerly of Billerica, died Thursday, October 9, 2025 at his home.
Wayne was born in Boston, February 2, 1953, the son of the late Leslie and Frances Prince and was a 1971 graduate of Billerica High School.
On September 14, 1975 he and his high school sweetheart, Carol A. (Dube) Prince were married. They moved to Townsend in 1977 where they raised their family, Jeffrey M. and his wife, Kerrin, who reside in Townsend and their daughter, Jamie M. Mackel of Merrimack, NH.
Wayne also leaves two sisters, Lisa LeMiere of Florida, Dawn Marie Delmonte of Rhode Island and three grandchildren, Delaney E. Prince, Gracelyn M. Prince and Ryan S. Mackel as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Desrosiers of Lowell.
For over 50 years Wayne worked as truck driver, beginning with Purity Supreme Supermarkets and later for 25 years for Yellow Freight Lines, retiring in 2008.
Wayne was a lifelong member of Teamsters Local 25. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, was an outstanding softball player and homerun champion in the men's leagues that he played in.
Wayne's family will receive relatives and friends at calling hours from 4-7 PM Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte.119) Townsend Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 18, 2025 in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately.
