John Charles Ramm

John Charles Ramm, born on January 22, 1947, passed away on September 21, 2024, in Fayetteville, GA, at the age of 77-a life measured not just in years but in adventures, wit, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved.
John's career was a high-flying success. He spent 30 years as a ground school instructor with Pan Am, which later became Delta Airlines. But John's love for aviation didn't stop there. He initially earned his wings in the United States Air Force, where he trained as a pilot in Texas and became a B52 pilot at Griffiss Air Force Base. His journey then took him to Germany as a maintenance commander before finally landing at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, where he retired in 1990.
John wasn't just a man of the skies; he was a renaissance man of many interests. Whether it was hunting, fishing, or volunteering at Evergreen Church, John brought his dry wit and can-do spirit to everything he did. Members of Mason East Point Lodge and the Volunteer Civil Air Patrol will remember him fondly.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ramm and Dorothy Goller Ramm, John leaves behind a loving family who will miss his humor and wisdom dearly. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Jo Anne Gotti Ramm, his sister Joan Jordan, and his beloved fur baby, Jacy.
John adored his wife and nothing brought him more joy than volunteering at Evergreen Church, always ready to lend a hand with whatever was needed. His dry wit and generous spirit were well-known to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A service to celebrate John's remarkable life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11 o'clock at Evergreen Church, 400 Windgate Rd., Peachtree City, GA 30269. Pastor Mike Jones will officiate.
