John Raymonda Obituary

John W. Raymonda Jr., 58, of Oneida, formerly of Williamsville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Oneida Health Hospital Emergency Room just two days shy of his 59th birthday.
He was born on January 5, 1966, in Eugene, Oregon, the son of John W. and Suzanne (Stensland) Raymonda Sr. John was a graduate of Williamsville East High School and went on to receive his associate degree from Erie County Community College.
On December 29, 1987, John proudly enlisted in the United States Army where he was a light wheel vehicle mechanic. While serving, he received the good conduct medal, national defense service medal, Army service ribbon, overseas service ribbon, expert badge rifle, expert badge grenade, Army lapel button, and the Southwest Asia service medal with 2 Bronze stars. He received his honorable discharge on December 28, 1991.
On October 5, 1996, John was united in marriage to Yvonne M. Rey in St. Gregory's Church in Williamsville.
John was the owner, operator, and mechanic of JR's in Williamsville until his retirement in 2007.
John was an avid snowmobiler, ATV rider, hiker, and dog lover.
Surviving besides his loving wife, Yvonne; are his father, John W. Raymonda Sr., of Oregon; his brother, James Raymonda, of Buffalo; his father-in-law, Joseph (Diane) Rey, of Williamsville; and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Suzanne; and his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Rivera.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Amigone Funeral Home, 8440 Main St., Williamsville. Family and friends are invited and may call from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the Amigone Funeral Home in Williamsville.
