JC Reed

JC Reed, 87, of Cartwright Oklahoma, passed away on January 25,2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 17, 1938 in McKinney, Texas. JC lived a life marked by hard work, generosity, and a deep devotion to his family and community. Though known for his tough exterior, those that truly knew him saw the soft heart beneath – described by many as the kind of man who would help anyone in need without hesitation.

JC was a serial entrepreneur building successful businesses ranging from a service station, produce deliver, and a restaurant. Outside of work, he impacted many local kids' lives through many years coaching his sons' sports teams.

JC met the love of his life, Donna Reed, in 1962 on a blind date. JC was then drafted into the Army where he served for two years. After returning home, he was excited to start his life with Donna and married her on August 26, 1966.

Grandchildren: Justin Endsley, John Casey Endsley, Beth Gray, Jared Perkins, Jacob Reed, Cody Reed, Zach Lewis, Halie Samaniego, Jack Reed, Max Reed, and 14 great grandchildren.

JC was preceded in death by his parents, John and Adelle, his sisters Betty Mitchell and Pat Burke, a brother, Benny Reed, a nephew, Corey Reed, and niece Julie Hart.

JC will be remembered and celebrated at the home of Jason and Ellen Reed from 2:00 – 4:00PM on
