John Davis Robinson
John Davis Robinson "Jack", age 71, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, more than two months after an elective surgery that took place on January 5, 2023. He was born on May 1, 1951, in North Braddock, PA, son of the late Florence I. Young and the late John E. Robinson.
Jack loved the games of golf and shooting pool at which he excelled. He enjoyed Martial Arts in which he participated for many years. When he told a joke, people would laugh, not always at the joke, but at him, as he heartily laughed at his own humor. Jack was an admirer of muscle cars but Mustangs were his favorite. His favorite place in the world was Canadohta Lake, where he spent summers during his youth. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Attending a Computer Programming school, for a year after high school, he obtained programmer positions, at GTE and later, at GE. Jack then was employed by Reel Entertainment Video, subsequently owning two locations. He also worked for Sun Your Buns and Build Your Bod until his retirement.
Along with his parents, preceding him in death was his stepfather, Stanley Young; and father-in-law, Kenneth L. Husband. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Gayle; daughters, Stephanie Nye (Mike) and Laura Robinson-Marsh; son, Kerr L. Robinson; sister, Debbie Robinson; and brother–in-law, James E. Husband (Janet). He is also survived by granddaughters, Alexis Juvonen (Nick) and Samantha Nye; grandson, London Marsh; nieces, Desiree Urick and Alexa Husband; nephew, Zachary Husband; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Juvonen; and cousins and many close friends who loved him dearly.
Honoring Jack's wishes, services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd. Memorials may be to the charity of one's choice.
