Mr. John Lee Robinson, affectionately called "Shilo", was born on March 10, 1952, to the late Claude Robinson and Verdell Robinson in Miami, Florida. He was the fourth of nine children born to this union.

During John's early childhood, he attended Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church along with this family. He later joined New Life Chapel under the leadership of Pastor Edward Lee. John truly loved the Lord and was always reading the Bible and quoting scriptures.

John received his basic education in the Miami Dade County Public School system and attended Pine Villa Elementary and Mays High School. He loved football, chess and listening to music.

John was a caring, compassionate, supportive person and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He would do whatever he could to help anyone in need. John loved his family and friends and was always in support of family gatherings. John was self-employed and worked in landscaping for many years. He was also a dedicated volunteer for the Miami Rescue Mission (The Caring Place).

On November 3, 2025, God called John Lee Robinson to his eternal home to rest. Preceding him in death are his brothers: Willie James Robinson and Anthony Ruffin.

Precious memories will forever live in the hearts of his sisters: Glorine Robinson Riggsbee, Lillie Robinson, Fitzgerald Ruffin Edgecombe (Ronald); brothers: Claude C. Robinson, Andrew Robinson, Eddie Ruffin; step siblings: Rev. W. J. Gaskins (Brenda), Willie Luellen Gaskins, Sheree Gaskins Long (Edward); special friends: Rev.
