John was born on April 29th, 1952, in Portland, Oregon, to Bob and Clara Ross. He was raised in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he graduated from Hillsboro High School. He built a successful career in the dump trucking business and was a passionate Chevrolet man who found great joy and satisfaction in restoring cars and trucks, a hobby that brought him lasting friendships within the automotive community.
John married the love of his life, Holly, and together they were blessed with twins, Robert and Jennifer. His heart was filled with pride and joy as he watched his family grow to include two beloved granddaughters, Chloe and Harper.
He was preceded in death by his father Bob, his cherished mother Clara, and his brother Mike Smith. His memory will be forever treasured by his loving wife Holly Ross, his son Robert Ross, his daughter Jennifer (Josh) Schuh, his cherished granddaughters Chloe and Harper, his brother Kent Smith, and other extended family members who will miss him dearly.
