John Rufener Obituary
John was born on November 25, 1938 in Hartford, Wi, to Alfred and Gladys Rufener.
After graduating from Hartford High School in 1956, John married Loreena (nee Leitzke) in 1959. He spent many years driving semi truck for multiple companies including Milwaukee Cheese, Standard Oil, Gateway trucking, 37 years at Broan and was able to finish out his trucking career at Carroll Brothers Recycling.
John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on race cars with Neil Sederburg, anything NASCAR, fishing and socializing with his many friends.
John is survived by his wife Loreena; children James (Tammy) Rufener, Jeni (James) Elder; grandchildren Wyatt (Lexi) Rufener, Quinn Rufener, Bryce Rufener, Wynter (nee Elder) (Kyle) Liesener; great-grandchildren Wyllow Liesener, Ryver Liesener; siblings Donna (Dennis) Carroll and Bob (Jane) Rufener.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Alfred and Gladys.
A gathering will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027). John's family will greet relatives and friends from 3:00p.m. until 5:00p.m.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
