Obituary of John L Rusch
John Luther Rusch, age 40, of Englewood, CO passed away on Friday, March 10th, 2023. He was born on June 24th, 1982, in Englewood, CO, the son of Wanda (Heikes) and Randell O, Rusch.
John attended Ralph Moody Elementary School in Littleton where he loved to play youth football, baseball and basketball. John and his family moved to Kiowa in 1992 where John participated in football, baseball and drama. While playing football he received the nickname "Meat". John was an excellent student and teammate. After graduating from Kiowa High School, John attended Mesa State College where he played football and graduated with a B. A. In business. After graduation, he returned to the Denver area and worked for Hudick Excavating and helped coach the Kiowa football team. John's career path changed, and he successfully managed many fast-food franchises in the Denver area.
John was an animal lover and at one point talked his dad into bringing 7 kitten's home. To many that know John, he was a big teddy bear.
Survivors include his parents, Randell and Wanda Rusch; sister, Amanda O'Neill; brother, Luke Rusch; one niece, Isabella and one nephew, Brayden. He was proceeded in death by his brother-in-law, Thomas O'Neill; uncle, Tim Huffman and his beloved dog, Zues.
Celebration of life will be held at 11am, Tuesday March 21st, 2023, at Joy Lutheran Church, 7051 Parker Hills CT. Parker, CO 80138
