John F. Sahlhoff, 88, peacefully passed away in his home on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in Bremen.
Lifetime Bremen resident, John was the son of Leo and Esther (Schlunt) Sahlhoff and a graduate of Bremen High School.
In Tyner, Indiana on September 25, 1965, John took as his bride Carole J. Rough. They were a few days away from celebrating 60 years of love, laughs and memories.
The couple took pride in being the 3rd generation living on the Centennial Family Farm. John enjoyed caring for the farm and gardening. They were faithful members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bremen.
John is survived by his loving wife, Carole; siblings: Marian Loucks of Elkhart, Jane Allen of Plymouth and Ellen (Lewis) Haug of Bremen; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Doris Reed, Carolyn Douglass, Dorothy Sahlhoff and Leo Sahlhoff Jr.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 605 S Center Street, Bremen. Funeral services will follow in the church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Neil Wonnacott officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bremen Cemetery, Bremen.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
