John W Sartain

John Willard Sartain, age 82, of Manchester, TN, passed from this life Monday, February 2, 2026, in Manchester, TN.

Mr. Sartain was born in Pelham, TN to his late parents Edison Sartain and Lida Mae Fults Sartain. He worked at Batesville Casket Co. for 30 years up until retirement. Mr. Sartain and his wife were both members of Campground Free Will Baptist Church. He loved being with his family and he enjoyed meeting and talking to anyone. Mr. Sartain never met a stranger. He also enjoyed mowing and working around the house.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters, and a great grandchild, Simon Gray.

Mr. Sartain is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janice Yvonne Sartain; sons, Nathan (Ashley) Sartain and Dwayne (Kristy) Sartain; daughter, Cindy (Tim) Black; special brother-in-law, Clarence (Angie) Buckner; special sister-in-law, Shirley (Henry) Perez; special friend, Eric Clem; sister, Melba Smithey; grandchildren, Meredith (Ryan) Gray, Jake (Ashley) Sartain, Tori (Dakota) Campbell, Talyn (Destiny) Black, Addi Sartain, Izzy Sartain, Jayden (Lexy) Yates, Jaelib Yates, Jace Yates, Addie Haley; great grandchildren, Graham, Olyver, Abigail, Hannah, Remmington, Raelynn, Copelynn, Carter, Jax, Elly, Tru "Little John", Hudson, and Hazel.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00am in the chapel of Central Funeral Home with Dennis Rollins officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Pelham.
