John L Sasser

John Lamar Sasser passed away on October 6, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1944, to the late Willis Braxton Sasser and Grace Annette Sasser.
He was the youngest of three sons. His parents and brothers, James Allen Sasser and Thomas B. Sasser preceded him in death.
John is survived by his children, Wendy Kiley, Emily Cummins, and Amy Taylor; his grandchildren, Jessica Jordan, KC, Hope, and Haley; as well as his great grandchildren, Peyton, Bryce, and Drew. John had many beloved family members including some special cousins that he held dear. Also, many exceptional co-workers through the years.
John was charismatic and could and would speak with anyone. He loved his job and co-workers and spoke fondly of both. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. John will be remembered for his love and dedication to his dogs and cat, and his love of Auburn University football.
Special thanks to the many healthcare workers at Solaris Healthcare of Pensacola and the exceptional hospice care at Gentiva Hospice for taking such good care of John during his time of need.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
