John D. Schnoor, 69, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, with his daughters at his side. He was born November 12, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in Willowick and was a longtime resident of Eastlake.
A man of many talents, John was incredibly resourceful and had a knack to fix anything that came his way. His heart, as big as it was, was always open to anyone whether it was a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on or words of wisdom. He was there with his quick wit and sense of humor to brighten your day. A lifelong sports enthusiast, John was an avid fan of all teams Cleveland. Especially the Tribe and Browns (there's always next year), he never missed a chance to talk sports or analyze plays or recount memorable moments. John was a man of incredible strength and character, and his absence will be felt by all who knew him. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and countless lives he touched.
He is reunited in Heaven with his loving parents Warren and Anna Madge Schnoor, brother Charles Schnoor, and daughter DeeAnna Schnoor.
He is survived by and was the loving father to Cassandra (Timothy) Kovacic and Jennifer (Steve) Crissey. The beloved Dude/Pappy/Grandpa of Joslynn, Timo, Billy, John, Kailee, Marijanna, Niko, and Alyssa, and cherished great grandfather of Micah, Mateo, Zaylee, and Zayden. Dear brother of Danny (Kathleen) Schnoor and Kathy (Denny) Taylor. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
To honor John's wishes, no funeral will be held. A Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, August 5th from 2:00 until 7:00 pm at Spirits in Willoughby, 3872 Erie Road, Willoughby, Ohio 44094. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of John, please visit our Tree Store.
