Jack met and married his loving wife, Margaret "Maggie". They enjoyed 67 years together and were blessed with six beautiful children, of which 20 years of those were spent in Litchfield, IL.
He was an avid reader, loved landscaping his yards, gardening and feeding his hummingbirds as well as fishing and boating with his grandchildren. He was very devoted to his family, faith and home.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann (Thill); sister, Mary (Dick) LaFleur; children, Tamara (Ron) Berg, Jacqueline Daly, Tim (Barb) Schomer, Julie (Don) Kremin and John (Becky) Schomer. Their youngest child, Jimmy, preceded Jack in death. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah and Noah, Ashley and Jaci, Cameron, Ian, Jake and Tarah, Sydney and Courtney; great grandson, LiL' Mack and was looking forward to the birth of another great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 9 AM until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection, 11 AM, at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8S055 Dugan Road, Sugar Grove, IL 60554.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Sugar Grove or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
