I grew up with John in the neighborhood at 59th and Lloyd St. in Milwaukee and was a classmate at St. James Lutheran School and Wisconsin Lutheran High School. He was a good friend and spiritual mentor to me through the years. We reconnected a few years ago at a WLHS reunion. My condolences to his family. He was a good friend.
