John Schwilk Obituary
John graduated from Kent State and The Ohio State University with Bachelor s degrees in Chemistry and Pharmacy. He also attended Akron University and was a member of the Lone Star Fraternity. At The Ohio State University, John was a member of the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society. After graduating, he joined the Army for two years. He worked as a Pharmacist in the Kent and Akron area.
He was an avid reader, golfer and fisherman and enjoyed watching sports. Ohio State was his favorite team. He was a kind and gentle soul who was always happy and loved life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
John is survived by his wife, Josephine (Gallina) Schwilk; two daughters, Joan Redman and Jane Schwilk and son in law, Mark Redman; the joy of his life grandchildren, Joseph and Gianna.
Calling Hours will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 11:30 A.M.-1:30 P.M. at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent 44240, with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Fr. Samuel Ciccolini officiating. Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.
