John Curtis Scott, 86, of Moulton, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 08, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.
Born on August 12, 1937 to the late Theodore and Lassie Green Scott, John loved to fish and hunt with his friend Johnny Baker.
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Scott; grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Scott, Amber Moore, and Bryan Parker; brothers, Harold Scott; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Scott; parents; son, Gary Randall Scott; brothers, James Scott, L.B. Scott, and Tom Scott; and sister, Dot Coker.
The family extends special thanks to his nurses with Amedisys Hospice and Decatur Morgan Hospital.
