John Sell Obituary
Born on June 20, 1950 in Oakland, MD, he was a son of the late Arnold Sell and Nellie (Murphy) Sell Poland. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Rice and JoDella Stahl.
Mr. Sell was formerly employed with Martin's Foods in Keyser, WV and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. A real jokester, he enjoyed woodworking, traveling and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his sons, David Sell and significant other Rhonda of Cumberland, MD, Jim Sell and significant other Heather of Augusta, WV, Brian Sell of Carnegie, PA and Jason Sell and wife Molly of Fairmont, WV; three grandchildren, Leah, Lexus and Lincoln Sell and a sister, Carolyn Harsh of Eglon, WV.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 2-4 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Leatherman officiating. Military honors will be accorded at the conclusion of the service at the funeral home.
Private interment will be in the Maryland State Veteran's Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone, MD.
