John William Semones, 88

John William Semones, age 88, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026. Services
will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at 1 p.m. with
Rev. Justin Sizemore officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with Masonic Rites at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Open lodge will begin at 12 p.m.
Mr. Semones was born in Frankfort on Aug. 22, 1937, to the late John Lorenzie Semones and
Martina Wright Semones. He retired from Jim Beam Distillery. Mr. Semones was a member of
the First Baptist Church on St. Clair, Franklin County Sportsman's Club, Elks Lodge No. 530
and Hiram Lodge No. 4 F&AM.
He is survived by his wife, Jane A. Hedges Semones; sons, David Semones (Tammy), Perry
Semones (Cindy), Terry Semones (Sophia) and Jim Mitchell (Missy); and daughters, Julie L.
Sullivan, Ginny Cox and Mary Jane Sullivan. He was also blessed with 17 grandchildren
and 14 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Perry Semones, Terry Semones, David Semones, Alex Semones,
Robert Alan Semones and Russ Wright. The Honorary Pallbearer was Jim Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hiram Lodge #4 F&AM or First
Baptist Church Medical Center.
